Venezuelans are advised to stay away from the cities where violence is most severe, citing a 2019 Forbes article that lists the most dangerous cities in the United States: Cleveland, Detroit, Baltimore, St. Louis, Auckland, California, Memphis, Tennessee, Birmingham, Alabama, Atlanta, Stockton, and Buffornia; New York, California.

Uruguay particularly recommends avoiding places with a high concentration of people, such as theme parks, shopping malls, festivals, religious events, sporting events, and mass protests.

Shots were fired last weekend at a crowded shopping mall in El Paso, Texas, and at a popular nightlife complex in Dayton, Ohio.
