Maybe you should search in Albuquerque?
In early September, police in the American city of Galesburg (Illinois) posted on Facebook several photos of people wanted for various crimes. One of the shots went on social networks due to the strong similarity of the suspect to the character of the series “Breaking Bad” by Walter White. And the man’s offense only emphasized the coincidence with the hero of the popular show.
The man in the photo posted by the police is 50-year-old Todd Barrick Jr who violated the probationary period for storing methamphetamine. Galesburg Department asked the public for help in his capture. But users of social networks began to joke that Barrick is Walter White, and he should be looked for in Albuquerque.
In the story, “Breaking Bad”, the hero, played by Bryan Cranston, finds out that he has cancer. To pay for treatment and leave money for the family in case of death, he launches methamphetamine production. In addition to the resemblance, Todd Barrick’s offense is also associated with methamphetamine.
This is not the first time that users of social networks recognize the characters of popular TV shows in pictures from the police. In 2018, a similar situation occurred with a shoplifter in Britain, in which Ross, from the series “Friends” played by actor David Schwimmer was “recognized”.
