The British manufacturer of spirits Diageo introduced Jane Walker — “female” version of the famous scotch Johnnie Walker. According to Bloomberg, the total number of “female” scotch will be 250,000 bottles.

A limited series of whiskey will go on sale in March. With each sold bottle Diageo will send one dollar to organizations that help women.

We believe that Jane is the first female interpretation of our “male” logo. We want to think that our man and woman do go together, moving forward.
Stephanie Jacoby
Vice President of Diageo

About Diageo plans to launch a line of alcohol with Jane Walker was reported back in January. The company noted that it actively supports gender equality in the workplace.

Vice President of the company Stephanie Jacoby told Bloomberg that Diageo intends to increase the number of female employees. By April, the company’s management will consist of half of women, she said.
