Noah Hawley, who was recently appointed director of the new Star Trek, in a conversation with The Hollywood Reporter noted that the cast could indeed change in the film.

According to him, the appearance of new characters usually entails a new cast. However, for the time being, he cannot say for sure whether any of the actors who starred in the trilogy will return since the production of the picture is at an early stage.

However, before Variety reporters said that Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Zoe Saldana, Simon Pegg, and Karl Urban will still return to their roles. The film was supposed to continue the story of Captain James T. Kirk. But now it is possible that a completely different story will be written for the film.

At the moment, it is not known exactly when “Star Trek” from the showrunner of “Fargo” and “Legion” will be released.
