Marvel Studios is in talks with director Sam Raimi. He is asked to film Doctor Strange: In the Multiverse of Madness.

Initially, the film was supposed to be made by Scott Derrickson, the author of the first Doctor Strange, but he left “because of creative differences.” Variety also adds that actress Rachel McAdams, who played Doctor Strange’s colleague named Christina Palmer, will not return to the sequel.

As for Sam Raimi, this is one of the people who launched the wave of successful superhero movies. He shot three parts of Spider-Man, where Toby Maguire played the main role. The plans were for the fourth film, but it did not work out.

But the funny moment — in the second part of Spider-Man there is a scene where journalists come up with the name of Doctor Octopus and call him Doctor Strange. And then they remember that it is already taken.

So the Internet artist BossLogic presented how Toby Maguire could be in the MCU movie universe.

Sam Raimi has not yet become a sequel director. Marvel does not comment on the news.

Doctor Strange 2 will be released May 7, 2021. Little is officially known about the film — it was reported that the Scarlet Witch would appear in it, and he himself would be associated with the events of the series “WandaVision”.
