Whiskey maker The Glenlivet introduced the Capsule Collection line — Scottish scotch tape in biodegradable capsules instead of bottles. The capsules are completely edible: they just need to be put in your mouth and cracked.

Packaging made from seaweed. Capsules will be sold in three variations: citrus, woody, and spicy flavors. So far, such a format for serving whiskey will be used only during the London Cocktail Week, which will last until October 13. You can also try capsules in one of the British bars.

The novelty of The Glenlivet caused a stir in social networks, but not because of whiskey. The brand’s products reminded users of the Tide Pod Challenge, the popular in the U.S. flash mob of 2018, where people ate on the camera degradable capsules of washing powder. Tide Pod Challenge is considered one of the most harmful flash mobs: at some point, social networks began to fight it, removing videos from bloggers.
