The authors of the series “Game of Thrones” David Benioff and Daniel Weiss signed a contract to create a film based on the graphic novel Hans Rodionoff Lovecraft. It is reported by Variety. The picture will tell about the American science fiction writer Howard Phillips Lovecraft, whose most famous works are the novel “The Call of Cthulhu” and “At the Mountains of Madness”. The script will be taken up by Phil Hay and Matt Manfredi (The Invitation). The film will take place in the 1920s. The Deadline edition notes that the film adaptation will raise the question: what if Lovecraft did not invent his worlds, but actually saw them?

Howard Lovecraft is one of the most screened science fiction writers. In November, producers of SpectreVision film company Elijah Wood and Daniel Noah announced that they were going to shoot three films dedicated to the Lovecraft universe. Shortly before this, a trailer for a tape created based on his story Color Out of Space was released. Nicholas Cage and Joely Richardson played in it, and Richard Stanley became the director.
