In 2008, friends joked that they would grow old in the same house in China. And it became a reality.
Women bought property in a suburb of Guangzhou and decided to convert it into a common house.
They spent over $500,000 on repairs. Now the house is equipped with floor-to-ceiling glass windows, a spacious tea pavilion, an open kitchen, and a swimming pool.
The house has a common ground floor and rooms for each of the women. The area of the house is 700 square meters.
Seven women met 20 years ago at work and have since become best friends.
They’ve made a pact to each master a skill that would be useful to their lives in retirement, such as cooking, traditional Chinese medicine, growing vegetables and playing music.
